Friendship Baptist Church Senior/Retiree Program was organized in 2002 to bring together mature adults and retirees for a time of fellowship, learning, activities, arts & crafts and outings to help maintain a full, rich and independent lifestyle.  A survey was distributed for seniors to check off the type of enrichment programs outings and recreational activities they were interested in.  We meet the first Wednesday of each month from 11am - 1pm.  We serve a light lunch when we meet at the church.  The first meeting was held May 1, 2002.  Average attendance per month is 12.  During outings and special meetings, the number increases.  We have had numerous presenters on different issues pertaining to seniors and have gone on many outings.
